General setup instructions for HK Pickup Options

Follow the below steps to set up HK Pickup Options and start displaying pickup options to your customers on your Shopify store:

Step 1: Add your retail stores (if applicable)

Add your retail store as a pickup option by going to Pickup Locations > Retail Store > Add Location

Fill in your store information such as store name, address, opening hours, and click save.

Once ready, in the Pickup Locations section, you can turn on the retail store toggle and start displaying your retail stores as pickup options.

Step 2: Turn on S.F. Express pickup options

Under the Pickup Locations section, turn on the S.F. pickup locations you would like to offer on your store. The list of S.F. pickup locations will be automatically updated by our app.

Step 3: Configure how the delivery and pickup options page will look on your store

You can customize the delivery options page by editing the option names as well as the text and border colors. You can do so by going to Delivery & pickup options page > Customize

Step 4: Make changes to your store settings

Follow the tips under Settings > Store setting tips to update store settings to provide the best experience to customers with HK Pickup Options.

Step 5: Add dynamic shipping rates (Available only on the advanced/custom plan)

You can upgrade to the advanced/custom plan any time to add dynamic shipping rates at checkout. Dynamic shipping rates allow you to define shipping rates for each delivery option so that only relevant shipping rates will be shown to customers based on their chosen pickup option.

For example, when dynamic shipping rates is turned on, the retail store pickup shipping rate will only be shown when customers choose a retail store pickup option, and will not be shown to customers who choose other pickup options such as deliver to an address or S.F. Pickup options.

Step 6: Turn on the delivery & pickup options page

When you have added all relevant pickup options, configured the delivery & pickup options page, and made relevant app and store settings, you are ready to display pickup options to your customers! You can turn on the delivery & pickup options page on your store by going to Delivery & pickup options page, and turning on the toggle until the box turns green and "Delivery options page is enabled" is shown.
